We will meet at Los Pingüinos on Monday in the beautiful colonial mountain city of San Cristóbal de las Casas where we will fit you with your bike and equipment. Early on Tuesday morning we take a taxi or a bus a 40 minute drive away to Teopisca. Descending from 1806m to 1100m elevation we will cycle along sugarcane plantations riding 70km to El Chiflon. Arriving in the early afternoon we will enjoy the rest of the day hanging around one of the beautiful waterfalls. On Wednesday morning we return by bus back to San Cristobal. We meet in Villahermosa in the lowlands of the state of Tabasco. Our first day brings us into view of the mountains and we climb into the foothills of Chiapas. After four days of cycling in a beautiful remote region that is rarely seen by tourists we arrive in San Cristobal, and the rest of the tour is the same as the Highlands of Chiapas tour below. This is a challenging tour where we ride 589km over 10 days of cycling. Highlights include real mexican culture, waterfalls, indigenous villages and markets, colonial towns, Olmec ruins, and mountain lakes. Note: You must bring your own bike for this tour. |

Back in Chiapas we will also visit the incredible Sumidero canyon. This is a lite tour including 1 or 2 cycling days and 3 trekking days. |

Back in Chiapas in the second week, we will spend 4 days cycling to beautiful waterfalls, idigenous villages and colonial towns before finally visiting the spectacular Mayan ruins of Palenque by bus.
